Indonesia to Spray for Giant Worms

BALI, Indonesia–Citing growing fears about giant worm attacks, including recent incidents of worms devouring suburbs and tourist hotels, Indonesian officials have decided to spray several islands with high concentrations of the dog deworming medicine panacur.

“We know this will be controversial, since it may kill other native worms, but sometimes you have to take drastic measures to face these huge problems,” claimed Aswat Behur, Secretary of the Interior. “It’s really not that different from global warming, where we have to destroy the environment by paving the desert and filling up the prairies and mountains with windmills so that we don’t cook the environment with emissions from coal plants.”
